What a barcode tells you
It identifies a record. It does not test the product.
A barcode helps find a product entry. Lychee then analyzes the available ingredients and other label fields. The barcode itself does not contain a full recipe, detect contaminants or guarantee a match to your current package.
Records may have incomplete ingredients, an older formulation or regional differences. Always compare the result with the package in your hand.

No match
Read the ingredient label, review the extracted text and contribute missing product details where practical.
Network access
Fast return visits, with data limits.
Known products can open from cached history or saved items and refresh in the background. New database lookups need connectivity; failed scans can be queued for retry. A saved record is not a guarantee that its formula is still current.

Is Lychee available on iPhone and Android?
Yes. Download Lychee from the Apple App Store or Google Play using the official links on this website. Store availability and device compatibility vary by region.
What if my product is missing from the database?
Try reading the ingredient label with Lychee. You can also submit or correct product data through its contribution flow. OCR and contributed records need checking; a missing ingredient list should be treated as incomplete data.
Does Lychee work offline?
Previously saved product information can be available from local history or pantry data. New barcode lookups need network access; failed scans can be queued for retry. Offline access is not a complete offline product database.
